Payroll/Customer Service Professional

A Customer Service Professional is responsible for all aspects of payroll processing and quality service for  clients. This position plays a critical role; responding to and resolving client questions and helping clients utilize our Human Capital Management software.  

Essential Functions

  • Maintains a high rate of client retention through superior customer service, assisting assigned client base with all components related to payroll processing
  • Responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of payrolls whether submitted via the web, email, call-in/out or other methods
  • Trains clients to use HCM (Human Capital Management) software, including reports, general ledger interface and employee self-service
  • Partners with sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations and requirements in regard to payroll as well as benefits and human resource products
  • Handles high volume of correspondence by telephone, email and fax

Requirements

  • FPC or CPP required
  • Service Bureau experience helpful
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax withholding laws
  • Familiarity with federal and state garnishment laws; payroll deductions such as benefit premiums, retirement plan contributions, etc.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Adaptable to shift priorities working under critical time constraints and deadlines, utilizing time-management skills
  • Occasional overtime required
