Benefits Specialist

This job is good for you if:

  • You enjoy improving benefits administrative processes.  You value the importance of this.
  • You can gain your client’s trust and participation in creating efficient benefits administration processes.
  • You are a customer service representative first.
  • You have a solid understanding of utilizing resources and tool to help you learn how to build benefit plans in an HRIS.   
  • You drive all benefit and payroll deadlines and understand this can cause a hardship on an employee if not accurate by deadline time.
  • You can serve effectively as your client’s liaison with employees, carriers, and brokers to resolve any benefits issue(s).
  • You know that data integrity of multiple databases is critical to the success of the whole process.
  • You are analytical and have an eye for attention to detail on audits.
  • You can explain just about anything to anyone, and you’re comfortable communicating verbally and in writing.
  • You can train clients to use the new process, tools and/or provide direction.
  • You know that your co-workers depend on you being present 100% every day.
  • You are enthusiastic about what you do and it’s contagious.
  • You can work in a team setting as well as independently.

 

  • You have a Business Degree or equivalent experience. (preferred)
  • You have 2+ years’ experience benefits administration.
  • You have customer service experience.
  • You have intermediate skills of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • You have some understanding of HRIS/HCM tools (preferred)
