BRIEF STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The Tax operations Specialist supports the HCM Tax Department in an effort to achieve organizational goals. This person works closely with the stakeholders to support the payroll service client base.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE:
- Import client tax liability from payroll platforms
- File and pay client payroll taxes timely and accurately
- Prepare and file quarter and annual tax returns
- Setup and balance all "full service" tax clients
- Maintain client ID numbers, rates and deposit frequencies
- Prepare and file amended tax returns
- Run payroll tax reports and verify information reported is accurate for governmental agencies including all levels of Federal, state & local taxing jurisdictions
- Identify and solve root causes of discrepancies in daily, weekly, semi-weekly, semi-monthly, annual tax payments, and recommend process improvements when warranted.
- Coordinate printing/electronic filing of returns on behalf of clients
